Hey, I’m Simran!
I tutor both primary and secondary school students in English and Science.
I tutor because I have an enthusiasm for helping young people to excel academically. I have demonstrated this quality through working as an English teaching assistant during my placement year at university. For instance, I led a reading group twice a week to aid students who had reading ages that were below expected for their age.
I have a student-centred approach to tutoring as I recognise that the needs of each student are different. One way that I implement this approach is by tailoring each tutoring session to the learning style of the student.

- What’s your background? I am currently studying BSc History and English Literature at Aston University.
- What’s in your fridge? I have a sweet tooth so I always have chocolate in my fridge!
- What are your hobbies? I enjoy reading, going for walks and occasionally cooking.
- What is a fun fact about you? I am fascinated by languages and I would love to become fluent in Spanish one day.
